• Sébastien Brunet

    Third generation vigneron Sébastien Brunet took over the winemaking duties at the Brunet estate in 2006. He is considered a rising young talent in a region more associated with tradition than innovation, doing all vineyard and harvest work by hand and vinifying with indigenous yeasts only. Organically grown grapes.

    Clay & limestone soil / flint in the clay| Stainless fermentation | Élevage in stainless (80%) and 20 year-old barrel (20%) | 40 hl/ha yields| 30 yr-old vines
    Chalk, mineral, white flowers and honey on the nose. Bone dry but a weighty palate supports powerful minerality, peach, apricot, more honey and meyer lemon. The tension between all elements is superbly balanced. Pair with shellfish, goat cheese and spicy food.
